CAM Workshop 1

March 27 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

CAM is Computer Aided Manufacturing. CAM applications are used to both design a product and program manufacturing processes, specifically, CNC machining (also known as Computer Aided machining).

A software for CAM uses the models and assemblies created in CAD (Computer Aided Design) software to generate tool-paths which drive the machines that turn the designs into physical parts. CAD/CAM software is most often used for machining of prototypes and finished parts.

In this basic CAM workshop series, we will learn how to use Autodesk Fusion 360 to build CAD models and tool-paths, and finally create a finished model using OtherMill Pro.
We will also see the differences in making 2.5 dimensional and 3 dimensional machining

You will need Autodesk Fusion 360 and OtherPlan for this workshop. Please download them prior to the workshop. Click the links to download them.
